Breaking News: In a stunning move by the studio, the advance one-sheet poster
for the next Star Trek film has been released before the current film even hit
theaters. Star Trek: Ferenginar Rising is slated to hit theaters in the 4th
quarter 2010. We assume they intend to capitalize on the pre-release hype of
the Star Trek reboot by releasing the poster for the next movie before the
script is finished. Of course, this makes a few details about the next script
clear: Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto will obviously be returning as Kirk and
Spock, and the plot will center around the Ferengi from Star Trek: The Next
Generation. According to the lore, the Ferengi were once enemies of the
Federation but achieved a tenuous alliance with them by the end of Deep Space
Nine. Whether Armin Shimmerman will reprise his role as Quark is unknown.
