The question is not what it would cost to teach human rights but what it would cost not to. The purpose of Youth for Human Rights International is to teach youth about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and inspire them to become advocates for tolerance and peace. Translated in more than 20 languages, some of our child-friendly materials are, for a limited time, available for free on our website www.youthforhumanrights.org. This year the art and essay entries were wonderful. Such creative ideas artfully depicted. Congratulations! We are celebrating this historic day with more than 60 events in countries around the world. Let's make 2010 a year of human rights learning!
