Ya...si James Cameron sendiri, gue baca di majalah FILM bulan lalu (cover depannya ALice in Wonderland).
Sebenarnya ada advantage & disadvantage sih, analoginya....sama seperti shooting film pake stock (roll film) hitam-putih dan kemudian di "warnai" saat di post production stage. Saat ini hal conversi-conversi bukanlah kendala teknis, masalahnya apakah nanti terlihat wajar atau maksain. kalo adegan-adegan fantasi, warna-warna yang tidak natural tidak jadi masalah, tapi kalo adegan live action harusnya senatural mungkin, krn kita bisa lihat warna sehari-hari (kulit manusia, daun, tanah dll) sebagai referensi. Begitu juga 3D, jika sensasi kedalaman "buatan" tidak terlihat natural malah jadi aneh, apalagi adegan sehari-hari. Tapi keuntungan besar dng konversi 2D--> 3D diakhir produksi adalah pembuat film tetap bisa memakai kamera biasa.
