Purchasing Manager
Job description :
Ensure
that primary items and commodities are available in sufficient supply to
continue operation at required consumption rates.
Direct
and assist the operating groups, divisions, regions, and activities in
maximizing the efficiency of their respective purchasing
functions
Develop
and maintain a procurement / purchasing data system which is compatible with
and
integrated into similar systems within the company. Ensure that this composite
system provides all management data necessary to determine materials
requirements, sources of purchasing, and associated cost.
accomplish the purchase of commodities and items which
should be centrally procured. Negotiate long term contract as appropriate.
direct
the training and upgrading of purchasing skills throughout the company.
Maintain
appropriate data for a central point of awareness of the qualifications and
progress of all key purchasing employees so as to facilitate hiring,
transferring, and promoting of employees.
Be
directly involved in the corporate review of all such personnel actions as they
pertain to key purchasing employees.
direct
and assist the purchasing personnel at all levels in awareness, understanding,
and application of procurement, legal, audit, policies and procedures.
Qualification :
1.
Master degree with Management or Engineering
background
2.
has 7 - 10 years of sound experience at
Purchasing
3.
familiar with SOP, ISO 9000
4.
preferably from Manufacturing, Retail, or Consumer Goods
Company
5.
familiar with ERP system (AS 400, SAP, AccPac)
6.
good in teamwork, has good leadership skill.
