Sukarno, together with ABRI, decided to bring Indonesia politically, economically, socially and culturally to the edge of abyss. Sukarno took Indonesia out of the world body, United Nations, and withdrew Indonesia from the world community and back to the dark ages. He also launched "Konfrontasi" of Malaysia, but in reality, he decided to confront the world community at large. What for? Nobody seemed to know. After TAVIP, emerged "Order Baru" which was supposed to bring Indonesia out the dark ages into the sunshine. 1999. 35 years later. Suharto, together with ABRI, has brought Indonesia once again to the edge of abyss. History is repeating itself in 1999. Again, it will be a year of living dangerously for Indonesia. This time, will the people of Indonesia allow themselves to withdraw again from humanity by descending into chaos and therefore back to the dark ages again. Or they can show the world that they have made progress over the last 35 years. They can show the world they have the maturity to change without chaos. The choice is theirs.
