Jakarta would also ""welcome'' international humanitarian aid to the vast archipelago buffeted by separatist rebellions in the provinces of Aceh and Irian Jaya, a senior Asean official said yesterday at the foreign ministers' meeting in Bangkok. Philippine Foreign Minister Domingo Siazon and other diplomats here said Indonesia had sought the inclusion of the paragraph as it battles to deal with insurgencies that are threatening to tear the country apart.
