Gen. Agus Widjojo said the military always supports any effort to find the men behind the recent spate of bomb blasts in the country. Even the military would not deny the Indonesian police (Polri)`s access to information on involvement of its members in the bomb blasts, if any, he said on the sidelines of the 22nd anniversary of the Communication Forum of Indonesian Youths (FKPPI) here Monday. "If the Polri has evidence on the involvement of TNI members and asks for help from the TNI, the TNI will play its role," he said without elaborating. For the time being, it would be better for the public to give the police a chance to probe the bomb blasts, including the alleged involvement of TNI members, he said. Asked to comment on the recent finding of explosives of category M-1 (Military One) in the recent bomb blasts, he said the finding was not everything. This meant that the finding needed to be proved in order to get a comprehensive picture of the bomb blasts, he added. He said the TNI was applying tight command and control procedures to its personnel. And the TNI would certainly take action against them if they violated the procedures. On a separate occasion, Police Chief Gen. Bimantoro said two TNI members from Pidie, Aceh, were strongly believed to have been involved in bomb blasts in Jakarta. Earlier on Sunday, Jakarta Police said they had arrested 25 people in connection with the series of bomb blasts in the capital this month, including a blast at the Jakarta Stock Exchange which killed more than 10 people. They were arrested on Saturday for their alleged part in the bombing of the Jakarta Stock Exchange on Sept 13 and the grenade attack at the Malaysian Embassy on Aug 27, Jakarta Police Inspector General Nurfaizi said on Sunday.
