RADECS 2000 Workshop - Radiation Effects on Components and Systems
Universit catholique de Louvain - Louvain-la-Neuve - Belgium
11 - 13 September 2000
The RADECS 2000 workshop will be held September 11-13 in Louvain-la-Neuve,
Belgium, on the premises of the Universit catholique de Louvain (UCL).
Technical visits will be organised the September 13. Louvain-la-Neuve is
located in Belgium, 30 km (19 miles) from Brussels, at the heart of Europe.
The RADECS Workshops alternate every two years with the RADECS grand
Conference and are organised under the auspices of the RADECS Association.
Theme: Papers describing radiation effects on devices, integrated circuits,
sensors and systems, as well as hardening, test and environmental modelling
methods will be presented in oral and poster sessions. Target applications
are space, nuclear power industry, high-energy physics and military.
RADECS 2000 will put special emphasis on the new space constraints linked
to MEO and LEO satellite constellations.
Call for papers:
We invite submission of papers describing significant new findings in the
following areas:
- Space radiation constraints and effects
- Basic mechanisms
- Radiation effects on devices and circuits
- Hardness assurance and testing
- Test facilities
- New developments of interest to the radiation effects community
Authors wishing to present papers must comply with the following requirements:
1. Submit a summary at least two and no more than four pages in length,
with sufficient detail to permit a meaningful review.
Deadline for receipt: April 3rd, 2000.

selected summaries will be distributed to the workshop participants. The
authors should provide their final paper at the time of the Workshop for
publication in the Proceedings. A selection of best papers in English will
be submitted for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Nuclear Science.
Languages: The scientific committee will accept papers in English or
French. Oral presentation will be in English. No simultaneous translation
will be provided during RADECS 2000.
