FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS

The Sixth International Conference

THE EXPERIENCE OF DESIGNING AND APPLICATION OF CAD SYSTEMS IN MICROELECTRONICS

CADSM 2001

February 12-17, 2001
Slavsko, Ukraine

Organized by

Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Lviv Polytechnic State University, CAD Department
in collaboration with The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers

SCOPE OF THE CONFERENCE

This will be the sixth international conference organized by the CAD Department of Lviv Polytechnic State University devoted to wide aspects of the design and fabrication of semiconductor devices in modern integrated circuit technology. The particular focus will be paid to the development and application of simulation tools and methodologies for analysis of device performance, heat distribution, and process fabrication in microelectronics. The major purpose of this international conference is to bring together CAD researchers and encourage the exchange of newest information and knowledge between them. An importance feature of the conference will be to emphasize the practical industrial application of current researches in various CAD fields.

LOCATION

As the five succesful previous ones, this conference will be held in Slavsko situated in the Carpathian mountains and approximately 130 km drive south of Lviv. Lviv is one of the oldest historic cities in Europe - industrial and educational centre of the West Ukraine. There are international airport, railway, and bus stations in Lviv. Slavsko is centre for skiing in the Carpathian. We hope that the wonderful scenery and healthful air of the Carpathian mountains will make for fruitful work at the conference and leave pleasant memories about the Conference.

SPONSORSHIP

National and international organizations supporting CADSM 2001 will be named in the final announcement, programm and proceedings of the conference. Potential sponsors are invited to contact with the organizers.

WORKING LANGUAGES

English, Ukrainian and Russian will be the official languages of the Conference. The Organizing Committee assures the translations.
