CBMI'03 is the third in a series of successful workshops aiming at
bringing together various communities (audio, video, and image
processing, textual information retrieval, multimedia databases)
involved in various aspects of Content-Based Multimedia Indexing.
Following CBMI'99 and CBMI'01 that were held respectively in Toulouse,
France, and in Brescia, Italy, CBMI'03 will take place in Rennes,
Brittany, France. The scientific program of CBMI'03 will include the
presentation of invited plenary talks, contributed research papers
and two special sessions devoted to European projects concerned with
that domain.
Selected papers from CBMI'99 and CBMI'01 were published in a special
issue, respectively, of Multimedia Tools and Applications (14(2), 2001)
and of IEEE Multimedia (9(2), 2002). Selected papers from CBMI'03 will
appear (after
extension and peer-review) in a special issue of Multimedia Tools and
Applications.
