STET-14 is a major international forum for the presentation of innovative 
ideas, 
approaches, technologies, systems, findings and outcomes of research and design 
and development projects in the emerging area of smart technology and its 
applications in education and training.

The STET conference serves as a new and innovative incubator for smart 
technology, 
smart systems and smart education/training.

The KES STET group will be focussed on the rapidly growing fusion of three 
areas:-

- smart technology, intelligent systems, computer science and computer 
engineering.
- engineering of advanced educational software and hardware systems.
- technology-based teaching, learning strategies and methodologies.

The first KES international conference on Smart Technology based Education and 
Training 
will take place as part of the Smart Digital Futures multi-theme conference 
which also feature 
our IDT, IIMSS and AMSTA conferences on the island of Crete in Greece. 
Registration gives 
access to all of these conferences, together with a paper published in one set 
of proceedings

The conference proceedings will be published by IOS Press as book chapters in 
the Frontiers 
of Artificial Intelligence and Applications (FAIA) series, submitted for 
abstracting/indexing* in

MATH, ISI 
Conference Proceedings Citation Index - CPCi.

Authors of selected papers presented at the conference may be invited to submit 
an extended 
and enhanced version for publication in the Springer KES Smart Innovation 
Systems and 
Technologies series (TBC).

The conference venue is 15km from Chania, the second largest city in Crete, 
a place where different civilisations have flourished throughout the centuries. 
Wandering around the Old Town’s maze-like alleys with the beautiful Venetian
