both
theoretical and applied research in a series of topic areas applicable to
sustainable design
and manufacturing. SDM15 consists of keynote talks, invited sessions and
workshops. It will
also provide excellent opportunities for networking. A full peer reviewed set
of conference
proceedings will be produced while selected publications may be identified for
inclusion in
appropriate special issues of international journals.

The conference will focus on these key areas:

TRACK 1: Sustainable Products & Processes
Eco-design and eco-innovation, closed-loop design, design for
environment/sustainability,
environmentally conscious manufacturing processes and products, energy,
resource
management and efficiency, sustainable manufacturing processes,
re-manufacturing,
recycling and design for assembly/disassembly.

TRACK 2: Sustainable Manufacturing Systems and Enterprises
Product life cycle management, end-of-life strategies, energy management &
efficiency
improvement of manufacturing systems, predictive maintenance & service for
sustainable
manufacturing, green supply chains, green logistics, sustainable business
models, sustainable
factory, societal impact of manufacturing systems, policy aspects of
sustainable manufacturing.

TRACK 3: Decision Support Tools for Sustainability
Life cycle assessment of manufacturing processes & products, intelligent
decision support for
sustainable manufacturing, virtual & collaborative environments for
sustainability, user/consumer
behavioural models, information management/product life cycle management,
prognostics,
intelligent decision support for sustainable manufacturing including expert
systems,
knowledge-based systems, knowledge discovery & data mining, knowledge
representation &
management, pervasive sensing, context-aware systems, mobile computing &
systems,
machine learning, virtual reality, intelligent information management.

Application areas may include; design, manufacturing, assembly, industrial
control, inspection,

INVITED SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS
================================

An invited session consists of a presentation session of 6 to 12 or more papers
on a specific
conference topic, organised as half or full day mini-conference. We invite
senior scientists who have
a special interest in a specific conference topic to take responsibility for an
invited session, gathering
papers from a range of research expertise around the world. If you would like
to arrange an Invited Session
please contact Prof. Rossi Setchi at [email protected] and include:
[email protected] as a CC.

Here is a list added so far:

IS01: Sustainable Business Models and Value Networks
IS02: Sustainability of Additive Manufacturing
IS03: Energy efficient manufacturing systems
IS04: Design Verification in the Context of the Light Controlled Factory
IS05: Knowledge networking via social media for sustainable supply chains
IS06: Sustainable Supply Chains
IS07: Redistributed Manufacturing for a Sustainable Circular Economy

Location
=======

Few Spanish cities can boast as much history, interesting monuments and
charming places as Seville, the
Andalusian city crossed by the river Guadalquivir. The importance of the city
and the passage of various
civilizations over the centuries have left a rich legacy. The historic district
is a wonderful area to visit. Stroll
through its streets brimming with charm and history. Visit the Plaza de EspaƱa,
La Giralda, the Alcazar, the
Torre del Oro, the Triana neighbourhood and the bullring, among others. If we
combine the character of its
people, good weather and rich cuisine, Seville becomes a wonderful and
must-visit city.
