Thus, there is a need to integrate explanation modules in order to justify the choices made by a model so as to provide medical workers with transparent systems that can explain the processes that led the AI model to provide a certain output. The aim of this special session is to give researchers the opportunity to present and discuss their work on XAI for medical and healthcare applications, or to provide insights and issues for future research directions. The proceedings of ICTSeHealth and ISCC have been indexed in the past by ISI, DBLP, and Scopus.
