I've seen some tests (i.e.

failing with:
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException
at sun.nio.ch.Util.atBugLevel(Util.java:448)
This is a known issue: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ISPN-1751
Maybe we should add this system property to the surefire settings?
