This is impossible to answer generically. The number of databases is not
the primary driver of RAM use, it is the series cardinality

and
the query load that primarily drive RAM needs. Replicating the same schema
across multiple databases does drive up RAM, but mostly because it drives
up series cardinality.

More shards means slower queries but faster compactions and backups. The
effects are minimal compared to other optimizations, though.

DROP DATABASE is the fastest operation. DROP MEASUREMENT and DROP SERIES
are not as performant, but it's impossible to give even a relative
difference without a detailed schema analysis.

A DROP operation will cause an increase in load on the system, so schedule
client cleanups for a time when the system is not under high load.
