My understanding is that at this time there's no supported way to do this. It may come as a built-in tool after 1.0 final is released.
We have this need, and so I'm working on a tool that we intend to open-source which helps with exporting data, allows some manipulation of the data, and then crafts it back into line protocol for import. Keep an eye out -- I'll post here to announce when its released.
