Hello All,
I'm a bit new to the influxdb world and I have some questions about Continuous
Queries. I hope I'm a the right place for it !

My Config : Influxdb 0.13.
What i'm trying to do :
I have a lot of metrics sent to influxdb by collectd which I don't know all the
name / type that are sent by each server (collectd) to Influxdb.
Each metric is sent every 10s.
I want to keep these precision for 6 months ( I put a RP of 6Month of it) and
from it I wanted to add Continuous Queries to downgrade the precision from 10s
to 60s on all of them (with a RP of 1 year).
And an other Continuous Queries that will downgrade from 60s (or 10s) to 300s
and keep them forever.

I read that soon we'll be able to use wilcard * (I wait for the 1.0 release and
hope it will be in it). As I have no clue of every name of my metrics and as
they are not the same from one server to an other (ex: Cassandra server, ES
server, etc...) I can't write a CQ for every serie.
With this wildcard is it possible that this will work ?

CREATE CONTINUOUS QUERY cq_test_60s_to_300s ON testrpandcq BEGIN SELECT MEAN(*)
AS min(*) AS max(*) INTO testrpandcq."default".downsampled_to5m FROM
testrpandcq.default GROUP BY time(5m) END

CREATE CONTINUOUS QUERY cq_test_10s_to_60s ON testrpandcq BEGIN SELECT MEAN(*)
INTO testrpandcq."default".downsampled_to1m FROM testrpandcq.default GROUP BY
time(1m) END

As I said I am a real beginner on Influxdb and especially on CQ.

Thanks.

Best regards,
