If there are no functions being used then CQs won't really help, as there's
no precalculation to do.

InfluxDB writes typically take microseconds unless the batches are very
large. The biggest time lag will likely be the HTTP calls between the
source and InfluxDB, and between Grafana and InfluxDB.
