I'm not familiar with the "statsd-influxdb-backend" tool. That might not be compatible with the latest InfluxDB. The blog post ( https://influxdata.com/blog/getting-started-with-sending-statsd-metrics-to-telegraf-influxdb/) has instructions on how to configure StatsD to output to Telegraf, which will then output to InfluxDB.
