Bill,

A series cardinality of 122k is nothing of particular concern, and nothing
significant changed
<http://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.0/administration/013_vs_1/> between
0.13 and 1.0 that would be affected by the series count.

What do the InfluxDB logs show just before the write failures?

What's the CPU, RAM, and IOPS usage on the machine?

Did anything else change on the server or the data reported?

Are you using an API library for writes?
