You can use the CLI in scripted mode <https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.0/tools/shell/#execute-an-influxql-command-and-quit-with-execute> to execute arbitrary queries, including those with WHERE time clauses that include the future. You can then add those scripts to a cron job for automated execution.
