Hello,
I'd like to use InfluxDB to store IoT data from sensors at home and I have
a OmniOS/illumos (opensolaris derivative) server for that.
However, compiling go under illumos is difficult, it would require
compiling the compiler first, and so on.

I would like to use my Windows PC + Go 1.7.x to compile InfluxDB for my
OmniOS server.

Is it possible? I tried to follow the instructions
at https://dave.cheney.net/2015/08/22/cross-compilation-with-go-1-5 but
this is where I got:

C:\Users\Olaf\Downloads\influxdb-master>go build -v influxdb.go
runtime/internal/sys
runtime/internal/atomic
runtime
command-line-arguments

Not far as you can see.

Could someone provide a list of steps for cross-compilation under Windows?

Thanks!
Olaf
