As per the subject ive been running 0.9.6.1 without issues but now need to move to a new server...hopefully without losing any data!
I see that newer versions need to update the format of the shards, but the instructions here dont go back as far as 0.9.x https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.1/administration/upgrading/ ..it starts from 0.10 Now i dont want to touch/break the current working server "old" ( running 0.9.6.1). I was hoping to have an upgrade path by installing Influx on the new server ( including performing any required incremental version updates to get to 1.1 but i cannot find anywhere to download version 0.10 I did find and install 0.11, so i made a backup in 0.9.6 on the old server https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v0.9/administration/backup_and_restore/ # influxd backup /mnt/iot_data_nas/backup2 This was seemingly successful with a "backup complete" message. So on my "new" server with 0.11 installed, i ran # influxd restore -metadir /var/lib/influxdb/meta /mnt/iot_data_nas/backup2 restore: no metastore backups in /mnt/iot_data_nas/backup2 "no metastore backups" ??? Can anyone pls advise how i can/should migrate my data from 0.9 to 1.1 ?
