he alert4 task was defined as
kapacitor define "alert4" -type stream -tick alert2.tick -dbrp
temperature_db.default
//alert2.tick
stream
|from().measurement('temperature')
|alert()
.crit(lambda: "value" > 30)
.log('/var/log/alerts.log')
Now, when the recording starts, following is the output for kapacitor stats
ingress
kapacitor stats ingress
Database Retention Policy Measurement Points Received
_internal monitor cq 20
_internal monitor database 40
_internal monitor httpd 20
_internal monitor queryExecutor 20
_internal monitor runtime 20
_internal monitor shard 60
_internal monitor subscriber 80
_internal monitor tsm1_cache 60
_internal monitor tsm1_engine 60

_kapacitor autogen edges 22
_kapacitor autogen ingress 157
_kapacitor autogen kapacitor 10
_kapacitor autogen runtime 10
temperature_db default_rp temperature 5
The last row indicating 5 points collected for measurement temperature, and
when I go ahead and add more measurements via Influx shell, this count also
increases.
Sample insert statement
INSERT temperature,Station=S1 value=50.9
