The docs state.. "InfluxDB does not yet support incremental backups."
But then goes on to describe the -since flag... "-since <date> - This flag can be used to create a backup since a specific date, where the date must be in RFC3339 format (for example, 2015-12-24T08:12:23Z). This flag is important if you would like to take incremental backups of your database. If not specified, all timeranges within the database will be backed up." https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/v1.1/administration/backup_and_restore/ So does InfluxDB support incremental backups or not? I am attempting an incremental backup, my log contains the following lines... 2016/12/06 11:30:01 backing up db=xxxxxx since 2016-12-06 11:24:33 +0000 UTC > 2016/12/06 11:30:01 backing up metastore to /transfer/xxxxxx/meta.95 > 2016/12/06 11:30:01 backing up db=xxxxxx rp=xxxxxx shard=2 to > /transfer/xxxxxx/xxxxxx.xxxxxx.00002.11 since 2016-12-06 11:24:33 +0000 UTC > 2016/12/06 11:30:01 backing up db=xxxxxx rp=xxxxxx shard=6 to > /transfer/xxxxxx/xxxxxx.xxxxxx.00006.02 since 2016-12-06 11:24:33 +0000 UTC > 2016/12/06 11:30:01 backup complete But the mentioned files do not exist in the backup location for the database xxxxxx but they do for the meta store. Each time the backup runs it mentions the same backup files, i.e. xxxxxx.xxxxxx.00002.11. Should this flag not be used at all?
