We have the following setup 2 measurements (State, Value) with tags locationGuid, sensorGuid - and the State measurement has a field severity (int)
We have a reports were we want to show all sensors (GROUP BY sensorGuid) where the LAST entry has severity > 0. Because of the poor performance on the GROUP BY statements in the past we use a REDIS to persist the LAST state. After the latest SELECT LAST...GROUP BY improvement on version 1.1 we have very good response times - and we were looking how to replace this REDIS storage by using the existing influxdb. Now comes the problem - we can easily have 500 locations with each having 50 sensors - meaning 25.000 sensors - where we have to get first all LAST and filter later at our server. This result of 25k results of course hits the max-series paramater and getting of this huge about of data is also slow. We would need to get influx to filter - but how? Do you have any idea how could we solve this issue? Could the new feature of subqueries help us here? -- Remember to include the version number! --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "InfluxData" group.
