Sorry for the delay! Just to make sure, did you restart the InfluxDB service once the configuration change was made? If so, what version of InfluxDB are you running?
When running tests on my local instance (running v1.1.0), I'm able to query for more than 10,000 points at a time, so it's strange that you are still seeing that cap.
