Hi,

This is polled out from AFS 3.4 Beta Release Notes:

AFS 3.4 allows you to create vice partitions larger than 2 GB. The
maximum size of a vice partition is the same as the maximum partition
size of the local UNIX file system supported by the operating system.
Refer to your system vendor's documentation for details.

Although you can create vice partitions larger than 2 GB, AFS 3.4 does
not fully support volumes larger than 2 GB. You can read from and
write to AFS volumes that are larger than 2 GB, but you cannot
perform typical AFS volume operations, such as dumping, restoring,
moving or replicating the volume. Files in an AFS volume are still
limited to a maximum of 2 GB.

Previous versions of AFS restricted partition sizes to under 2 GB.
