Solaris 2.4/ Sparc 1000/ DEC DLT stacker

Has anybody had any experience with using a DEC DLT drive
on a SPARC 1000 running Solaris 2.4 (or any other version
of Solaris?)  If so, I'm interested in how/what you used
to interface with the stacker to advance or mount the tapes.
AFS 3.4 talks about the new config file and writing executibles
to handle the juke box but I'm not sure if this is roll-your-
own software or some combination used from the Solstice
software.

Any clue are appreciated,!!!!
