I am interested in this particular point as well! If anybody knows 
anything about this - please speak up! 

In particular: ODS introduces it's own fsck. Now, should the AFS fsck
correctly handle replaying the log for a logged filesystem? The only time I
tried this, upon every reboot the AFS fsck would fsck all filesystems since
the meta-device apparently was not marked clean! I found this a bit
annoying...
