I also had the same problem...I believe this is due to trying to load
the libafs.o on a machine without NFS running...If you modload libafs.nonfs.o
things work fine...(Yes it did work in the alpha code...but not now..).
This really shouldn't crash though I've added another "check mark" next to
the TR 21963...Thanks Axel.
As Axel mentioned the workaround is to start the NFS server...In fact the
afs.rc which comes with the GA version of AFS 3.4a for Solaris 2.5 does
this by default...(However the afs.rc which was distributed with the
alpha ports did not do this....and you would crash just as you described..).
I see that the root problem here is that we don't load Transarc's afs.rc
because it doesn't provide the functionality that we want (as I've
harped on before ;-)) so when there is a change in their afs.rc file
we don't see it because we don't use it..
