I haven't seen any problems like this under Solaris 2.5. In fact, my
experience has been that the 2.5 client seems to be more stable than the
2.4 one. I don't get the "WARM shutdown of...rx" shutdown hang problem
that I've intermittently gotten under 2.4 (even with the latest patches):

briansp@thebrain [12:46pm] ~ :; uname -a
SunOS thebrain.aa.ans.net 5.5 Generic sun4m
briansp@thebrain [12:46pm] ~ :; vos dump -id root.cell -time now -file
root.cell

Dumped volume root.cell in file root.cell
briansp@thebrain [12:46pm] ~ :; vos release root.cell
Released volume root.cell successfully

I'm running Solaris 2.5 with AFS 3.4a (ports 1.54). My (currently
single) fileserver is running 2.5 as well. The installation is pretty
generic...mostly security modifications.

Are you running 3.4 or 3.4a?
