I recently wrote a utility for interpreting volume dumps, which I sometimes
use to assist in data recovery.  While it doesn't do precisely what you
want, it comes pretty close, and thus might be of use to you.

At the moment, I'm waiting for a response from Transarc as to whether I
can distribute this program to people who don't have AFS source licenses,
but I'll be happy to send a copy now to anyone who does.
