We are starting to install the IRIX 6.2 AFS client on our SGI systems. We
have run into a problem because all of the libafs* files in the
/usr/vice/etc/sgiload are 64 bit. However most, if not all, of our Indigo
and Indigo2 machines have R4000 or R4400 processors and 32 bit IRIX 6.2
kernels, and the 64 bit libraries will not work with these.
Here is a table from one of the IRIX 6.2 manuals
as to what the kernel types are:
