The "vos examine <volume> -extended" command does not seem to give the last
"access date". It only gives last "update date" and how many accesses in
the "past day".
Is there any way of getting the "last access date", which includes "read
access"
?

vos examine <volume> -extended
will give stats on volume accesses.
i.e.
