Dear AFS Contacts --

We have recently discovered information regarding HPUX 10.20 patches
that can be installed to prevent core file corruption. These patches
are not required for AFS to install or function properly. The AFS
3.4a ports release of HPUX 10.20 will run successfully on "out of the
box" HPUX 10.20 systems. However, should you encounter problems down
the road and would need to send us a core file, the installation of
these patches from HP will eliminate any possible core file
corruption.

The following patches are available from Hewlett-Packard:

"Patch PHKL_8533 for s800 and PHKL_8532 for s700 are needed for
PA/RISC 2.0 systems to avoid a core file corruption."

Please treat this email as an informational sharing and not a
recommendation by Transarc since the patches are cumulative and
include other patches that we may not be aware of. You should contact
HP for their recommendation and advice regarding installation.
