The following assumes that you have configured /etc/security/user
and /etc/security/login.cfg to allow AFS authentication on login
as suggested in the Transarc AFS Installation Guide and used in
"afs_install" [1] mk-afs-login. It also assumes that you are using
the login program supplied with your operating system.
a) edit your ${HOME}/.xinitrc file so that instead of starting
vtwm, mwm, or whatever window manager you prefer you start:
/usr/dt/bin/Xsession
b) At the CDE dtlogin panel:
Position the mouse cursor over the "Options" button.
Press and hold the left mouse button
Drag the mouse cursor down to "Command Line Login"
Release the mouse button
You should be presented with a simple (non-graphical) login prompt
