Dont know about the E450, but we have AFS on a E10000 and it works like charm,
and � yes we had that message too. In fact we're so used to it that we don't
bother anymore, to us it occurs on most Solaris boxes. 
However, it does *not* appear when we start afsd on a freshly booted machine,
only when we do the initial testing of AFS manually on a machine that has been
running for a while.
