I don't believe you can use AFS "vos release" to do cross-cell
volume replication.

We use several techniques for keeping two directories
(in different cells) in synchronisation (eg a source
and a "mirror" copy).

One PD program that works pretty well is Ruten Gurin's "mirdir".
I found this via the info-afs archives. Another reference at [1].

[ Wouldn't it be nice if more of these useful tools were placed
