AFS 3.5 pl 2 / Solaris 7 (problem existed with 3.4a / Solaris 2.5.1 as well). Don't know about other OSes as I have not tried to reproduce the problem (difficult). Seems that the ka_UserAuthenticate() call in the reauth program never returns under certain circumstances. Specifically, if the call is made when one of our AFS database servers is not available, it never returns, never recovers when the cell is back to normal, ...nothing. This seems pretty broken. It makes reauth considerably less useful. Does anyone have a more 'modern' reauth laying around (maybe something using threads to get around this annoyance in ka_UserAuthenticate)? Comments? Suggestions?
