While we were allowed here to accept Transarc's word for it's Y2K compliancy
:-), we did have to check a few things to make sure a few things would work
after Y2K, and some of it required the things having AFS authentication (like
batch-queueing systems).

We set up a one-machine test cell, put the client machine in the test cell,
reset the time on the client and server machines to 12/31/1999 at 23:55 and
then simply let it roll over. After "january first" we ran the program(s) and
made sure we got expected results.

I suggest that you may have something(s) around your cell that you know rely on
AFS, like a batch queue system :-), and do what we did.
