We've had a couple of interesting problems, but some of those are
related to running 97A and 4.43 in the same environment.
On a purely afs basis we haven't had any problems at all with
using @sys to access volumes ore tools directories. However,
early on we did create both a cds.afs.proxy and cds.dfs.proxy
in both our top level, /afs/ece.cmu.edu, and our user level,
/afs/ece/usr. I believe before that we only had a cds.afs.proxy
at the top level.
That was a while ago so I don't remember all the particulars, but it
did seem to help with some of the problems were were seeing. I'll
try and dig through some of my notes tomorrow and see if I can track
down some specifics.
thanx
