Solstice vice partitions?

Has anyone had any experience using Sun/Veritas Solstice metadevices
as vice partitions?  (In particular, I'm curious about using logging
metadevices to speed up crash recovery, although disk mirroring is
also interesting to me.)  Is this something Transarc supports?  If
not, has anyone tried it?
