Does anyone have experience backing up AFS space with Amanda
(http://www.cs.umd.edu/projects/amanda/index.html)? We are able
to backup the data in our AFS file space as if it were just a
unix file space, but then we lose the AFS structures (volumes)
and ACLs upon recovery.
I know it can't be too hard to modify Amanda to accommodate this --
I just don't want to reinvent the wheel.
Why are we using Amanda? Seeing as the backup tools that come
with AFS are a bit primitive, we're looking for something more
efficient and Amanda has worked well for us on unix file spaces.
Thanks in advance for any help.
