Wow , thanks to all that responded. for those who asked what error ( i should
have put this in before) here it is.
The application failed to initialize properly (0x0000022) Click ok to
terminate the application.
The event log tells of says:
The IBM AFS client service failed to start due to the following error.
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fasion.
I have tried using the new patched 3.5 GA release with the same errors. I did
a clean new install , no upgrades. I am using dhcp on one client and a non
dhcp client. I am going to try a few of the other suggestions that you all
mailed me. I'm sure it's something stupid I'm doing.
