Hi, I'd like to discuss some AFS diskspace allocation/management issues that are relevant for large AFS cells (several TB of data). Our current procedure was developed when we were <1Tb, and is not so suitable for us now. How much disk space do you have in your AFS cell? How do you handle disk allocation for different groups/departments? Does it allow you any kind of flexibility and load balancing between servers? Can your customers receive temporary storage in AFS? Do you use HSM with AFS (probably, MR-AFS)? Do you use several kinds of servers for different types of volumes? What kind of monitoring tools are used in your site?
