The archives of info-afs are now available via WAIS. New mailing list traffic
is automatically incorporated nightly.

WAIS stands for Wide Area Information Service, and allows one to search
large volumes of documents for keywords very quickly, and come back with
a response. Relevance feedback can then be added ("find more stuff that
has a lot in common with this document"). I think this archive could be
very useful for new AFS users with questions, or if you come across a
problem that you just _know_ was talked about on Info-AFS in the past.

WAIS client software can be obtained via anonymous ftp to think.com, in
the directory /wais, or via AFS on /afs/cmf.nrl.navy.mil/contrib/wais .
There is a MAC client, a NeXT client, an X client, and a screen-based
client. If you don't want to get your own client software, you can
try it out by telnet'ing to quake.think.com and logging on as "wais".
You can then select the "info-afs" source.

Below is the info-afs.src file you will need for your own WAIS client
(also available as /afs/cmf.nrl.navy.mil/contrib/wais/info-afs.src)
