I think you can create volumes with up to 4 TB in them, barring other
restrictions by your server's OS.

How are you going to read these very large files?  The AIX system call
interface doesn't support that...

And from sys/types.h:

typedef unsigned long   size_t;
typedef long            off_t;          /* file offset */

And from sys/file.h:
        off_t   f_offset;       /* read/write character pointer */


So it looks like you might have trouble with files as small as 2GB.
