Does anyone know whether a cache manager exists for DOS machines ? By this I mean an entity which lives in the DOS machine, maintains a cache on disk, and interacts directly with the AFS file and DB servers without the intercession of some intermediary. If not, is there any reason why such a thing is impossible in theory or practice ?
