The only communication that I have seen regarding the availability of AFS 3.2 is a Sep 29 e-mail to AFS_contacts, which mentions one system type that had then become available from /afs/transarc.com/product/afs/3.2. Questions: 1) When we are ready to move from 3.1 to 3.2, is fetching the newer software from .../afs/3.2 the usual procedure, or do we get new distribution tapes? (Also... New manuals? Update pages to old manuals?) 2) Is AFS 3.2 a no-charge "update" of 3.1 -- or is it a new release for which we must pay an additional charge? 3) When a (any) new AFS release requires an additional charge, is that charge the same for old customers as for new, or is there some discount or rebate in respect of charges already paid for the previous release? My understanding of our current situation (please correct me if I'm wrong) is that we have version 3.1 distribution tapes for two architectures, one server license, a translator site license, and one year of software support. Please consider each of these when answering the above questions.
